How's my driving? Call this number to report me...

Why is it that the medical profession doesn't seem to have the same expectations of customer service and caring attention as other businesses do?

Why is it that doctors can walk in after making you wait for over an hour, never look you in the eye, quickly look at your chart, take a few short looks and then say there's nothing they can do, then charge you full price for their services?

Where is their bumper sticker that says "How's my caring? Call this number to report careless service"? Semi-trucks have them, why not doctors?

I know not all doctors are this way, but it seems lately that all the ones we've dealt with recently have been careless, flipant, dismissive, and even rude.

I want a bumper sticker number to call and report them! Can't we all just be decent to eachother?!

It's that doctor ego that makes them think they can get away with this kind of behavior. Sad...

I think it really helped living right across the street from our doctor. He knew that we knew where he lived :D.

I've definately learned that about some doctors over the past year... it's amazing when you find one who actually cares.

Oh boo. I totally know what you mean. That is THE WORST. Since I switched from a regular OBGYN to a Certified Nursing Midwife I can't BELIEVE the difference. It's night and day. I'm never going back.

ugggh, no kidding. I LOVED my doctors more than anything in Utah, and that's because it took forever to find them. Now that we have moved, I feel like we are combing through doctors weekly. I still haven't found a pediatrician that I like. :(

I think some people forget to remember that doctors are just like anything else. Although they have trained for years, some just plain old suck. Just like hair dressers, cooks, interior decorators, engineers, etc. etc. etc. You gotta find the good ones!
