I bet things are going a lot better than you think. Those boys will love you in no time.

But I know how you feel. I sit in my calling and feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. It has been so hard for me to feel comfortable in it. I sit there in the meetings and daydream about the old days. Really. Hang in there!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969321858469746458.post-26301326317227251582009-06-04T14:26:14.551-06:002009-06-04T14:26:14.551-06:00How many callings do you have exactly? How many callings do you have exactly?Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13842729904006598989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969321858469746458.post-35328054128429584342009-06-04T13:06:20.022-06:002009-06-04T13:06:20.022-06:00Struggling with the same group of boys...missing t...Struggling with the same group of boys...missing the same group of girls...feeling the same sad sad feelings. SIGH! If it makes you feel any better, no matter what you brought they would still have thrown it at each other...ask me how I know. LOL. I know you will be great...we just have to hang in there! Remember when our girls used to look at us like we were wierdos...they warmed up and I bet the boys will too. Fingers crossed that it is sooner than later! :) Call me if you need someone to eat ice cream and watch a sappy movie with - boys in sappy movies are always much nicer. ;)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08230851259107743565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969321858469746458.post-52999203028118070302009-06-04T10:56:29.882-06:002009-06-04T10:56:29.882-06:00Oh I am so sorry. Lo and behold, there were 8 rowdy 14 year old boys and only one sweet little girl in there. Not to mention I was pregnant with Maren at the time, which was exhausting enough. I remember preparing lessons and having the boys totally ignore me while I tried to teach. I finally had to have Ryan come to the class with me to help keep them in line.

I know these boys were older, but I know it's hard to work with boys. I would recommend having Merritt around when you are meeting with them. He could really help. It sucks to have all your work go un-noticed or unappreciated. I hope it gets better!Ryan and Shannan Hoffmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02941872084527759778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8969321858469746458.post-12232122186681978242009-06-04T10:40:56.306-06:002009-06-04T10:40:56.306-06:00Good luck Erin! I get a headache just going to pack meeting and I'm not in charge of it.Rob and Marci Peacockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06678242157060204402noreply@blogger.com
